Who are ReVentas ?

At ReVentas, we aim to be a leading part of the global movement to tackle plastic waste pollution. Our ground-breaking recycling technology tackles the most challenging waste plastic our society produces. By purifying this waste plastic of all contaminants, we allow it to go back into products as a virgin-like polymer, thereby closing the gap in the circular economy and allowing companies to access truly sustainable plastics.

The role

We are looking for a highly ambitious and motivated lab technician to support our laboratory R&D efforts. You will be working to support scientists and engineers on cutting-edge development of a new technology to make plastics more sustainable. You will be fully supported as you take ownership of project tasks and help to find solutions to technical challenges. The role will be heavily hands-on and those who succeed will be excellent working alone and as part of a team. You will be a self-starter who can work without detailed instruction and you’ll notice the things other people would not. This opportunity would suit someone excited to learn from our experienced team and with an interest to grow with the company.

The role is based in Livingston.

Experience/Skills

  • Lab experience
  • Willingness to learn new processes
  • Experience carrying out COSHH and Safety Risk Assessments
  • Reporting data/ results in a clear and concise manner
  • Conducting and supporting scientific experiments at various scales
  • Providing technical support
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Experience in working with flammable solvents is advantageous

Qualifications

  • Chemistry or material science qualification including practical laboratory experience or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific field e.g. we will consider candidates at degree-level, Higher National Certificate, Higher National Diploma or with industrial experience

Must be eligible to work in the UK.

Pay: £24,500 – £27,500 per year
